Virtual Warrane - Customs House
The virtual Songlines team showed off their technology again at the Customs house in the heart of Sydney. The project, titled Virtual Warrane, took users back in time and taught them traditional methods of hunting and traversing the Sydney cove as the Eora Nation would have prior to colonisation. Using the Customs House 19 metre wall, we were able to put on display how the Sydney coast would have looked and showed the ghost of the city on top to see where it was going to go. The event was visited by many familiar faces, such as the ex prime minister Julia Gillard. In the end the team was happy being able to give the next generation the ability to connect with the First Nations heritage and learn how to survive with only the australian flora and fauna.
