Virtual Maiwar - The Cube, QUT
The virtual Songlines team showed off their artistic talents at the famous QUT site "the Cube". The experience on show, with Graham Quirk presenting, took participants back in time, in a virtual time machine, to 1830's brisbane, illustrating the perspective of Dimdahli, a famous indigenous man who was hanged in 1834 where the Brisbane Post office now stands. The demonstration of the Virtual Songlines software gave people a rare ability to connect across time to a period that would usually seem very foreign to them. Overall the experience was very well received and and contributed, to what was, an amazing event.
